Blooming Rose Ella

The owner and family were lovely and helped us with everything, including finding a tuk tuk. The view alone makes the price worthwhile: the most incredible one I’ve had at any place I’ve stayed, over mountains and a beautiful waterfall you can see and hear. It was a magical, special stay. Highly recommend.

We arrived late in the evening, and the staff were already at the entrance to help with our luggage. Such a thoughtful welcome. They were kind and helpful throughout. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the view was beautiful, and breakfast was delicious. We felt great there and really enjoyed our time.

The rooms were clean and basic, and good value for money. The owner and staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful. We stayed two nights at Blooming Rose Ella with four friends, sharing two rooms. It’s tucked into the hills with exceptional views. Ella’s main street is a short tuk tuk ride away, or you can walk about 15 minutes along the train track in daytime, which is very normal here. Breakfast each morning was a real treat, with lots of Sri Lankan dishes to try. There’s also a laundromat next door if you need to do washing while travelling.

The Wi-Fi could be faster and more stable, which is the only small thing I’d change. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay at Blooming Rose Ella. The family are so warm and welcoming that you feel at home right away. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed and an amazing view over nature. Waking up there was a pleasure, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. Genuine hospitality, highly recommended.
