The host made things easy for us throughout the stay, helping with drivers and other logistics. The breakfasts and lunches were excellent, especially the milkshakes and fresh juices. Dream Catcher is a peaceful place with lovely views, about a 10-15 minute drive from Ella town. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and nights are wonderfully quiet. For the price, it’s good value. If you like hiking, the start of the Ella Rock trail is about a 10-minute walk away. We’d happily stay here again if we wanted a calm, scenic place near Ella with attentive service.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the owner’s brother was very helpful, assisting us throughout the day. Our room was comfortable and looked out at the passing train. It’s around 4 km from town, making this a peaceful, relaxing spot away from the bustle. We had a pleasant stay.

Sashe cooked his mother’s favourite dishes when we asked him to surprise us at mealtimes, and we got genuine Sri Lankan flavours. Lucky us! The meals and service were great. It’s a clean, quality resort on the quiet outskirts of Ella, with lovely views.

The location was beautiful, and we even spotted a fishing cat! It isn’t a luxury hotel, but the service was amazing and nothing felt like too much trouble. There was a great choice at breakfast.

There’s no AC, just a desktop fan, and the place is off the main strip, so you’ll need to travel for meals. Breakfast is available on site and included, and it was decent. The rooms are cozy and have mosquito nets, though we didn’t need them.
