Ella Golden view guest

The hosts were kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, and made things easier and more enjoyable for us. From our room balcony, Ella Rock looked absolutely gorgeous, a view we won't forget. The guest house was clean and tidy, in a peaceful spot where we could get away from the noise and crowds of Ella town, while still being close enough to everything. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.

The view is unreal, with sunrise to watch and stars to see at night. The staff are so pleasant and friendly that you feel like part of their family, and it's always nice chatting with them. Getting there means climbing some stairs or taking a tuk-tuk or a car, but the view is absolutely worth it. A wonderful place to stay.

We loved how clean the rooms were, the hot water in the bathroom, and the very soft bed sheets. The hotel's own tuk-tuk service made getting to and from town super convenient. The uncle is really friendly and happy to help, even arranging a hire car for us to Yala, and Sampath was kind enough to pick us up after a night out at 2am. It's one of the best places to stay in Ella, with the best service I've had in Sri Lanka. We'll definitely stay here next time we visit Sri Lanka.

The rooms and common areas both have a spectacular view. It's a decent hike from the train station, or a short tuktuk ride, but the view is worth it. Golden View is a well-run budget guest house. The staff were kind and helpful, and seemed to care personally about my time there and in Ella, beyond just doing their jobs. That care also showed in how well the facilities were maintained. Every room has a varanda with a view, and half are air-conditioned. Mine was modestly furnished but comfortable, very clean, and well kept.
