Saddle Cottage

We stayed four nights with my wife. The family who run the place were lovely, and the owner was a warm man who always had a smile. We could see and even hear a waterfall from the property, and the views were great. It's a 10-15 minute walk to Ella town along the railway tracks, which is an experience in itself. Breakfast is homemade, and they offered us tea and cookies for free in the afternoon when we were around. The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. A bit of renovation to the rooms, like the walls, would improve the general feel, but all the basics worked fine. Recommended!

We loved our stay at Saddle Cottage and would happily come back. The hosts were the nicest, cutest family we've met so far, and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. They did our laundry and made breakfast early for us. They were always offering tea, too. Our room looked across the valley to an amazing waterfall. After mornings spent hiking around, it was a perfect place to unwind. The cottage is a little outside the centre, but the walk along the train tracks is easy, and we preferred being tucked away from the bustle. Great hosts, delicious food, and an incredible view. It had everything we could ask for.

We absolutely loved our stay. It's a welcoming family home with two rooms upstairs and a spectacular terrace right out front, looking towards a waterfall. The family made breakfast for us every morning and were delightful. Walking along the train tracks, which is very common in Ella, gets you to the town centre in about 10 minutes. Highly recommended!
