The view was the one thing we liked. We were given a room on the second floor, but next time we'd pick another hotel. The bed linen wasn't really clean, the small bathroom towels were gray instead of white and stank, and there was no hairdryer. The mattresses were very hard. The fridge didn't work and had mold inside. I'd avoid the third-floor rooms, which sit right under the roof: the ceilings were moldy, and the rooms smelled and felt humid. We ate in Ella instead, at one of the nice little restaurants about a 15-minute walk away.

The buffet was okay, with a decent variety, though nothing stood out. I thought the person at the live station could have made my breakfast omelette better. The rooms have excellent sunset views, and the hotel is a great pick if scenery over the area matters to you. It's rated three star and felt a little pricey, but we were there on New Year's Eve. Getting up from town is a steep climb, though only about five minutes by car.

The best part is the amazing view from the rooms, across Ella rock, Little Adams peak and some distant mountains. The staff's service was commendable. The rooms were smaller than I expected, and the food wasn't especially good.

The price felt exorbitant for what we got, and it was a bad experience. Rooms and bathrooms were small and lacked hygiene, and none of the rooms had much of a view. There was no hot water in our bathroom. After several calls to reception, we ended up having to get another room opened so we could use its bathroom. The food was below average, with few breakfast choices and no proper labels to show what was vegetarian or non-vegetarian. In India, I think you could find the same room and service quality for under 1200 Rs.

The view is gorgeous as soon as you arrive, and the grounds have the cutest little details that are great for pictures. Our room was comfortable, and the balcony was a nice addition. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location made exploring Ella easy.
