Hotel Alta Vista

Breakfast was generous, and they handled our vegan request well. We also loved how quiet and tucked away the place felt, despite being only a couple of minutes from the main strip. Getting back up the steep little hill after a long hike could feel like one last trek, though. Our room was spacious and clean, with solid wood against white walls that gave it a modern look with a colonial feel. The balcony looked over town, with a good jungle and mountain view thanks to where the property sits. The staff were very kind. A pool was the one thing missing, though they were building one while we were there.

The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from, including breads, fruit and eggs made to order. I found the service brilliant and the staff really helpful. I spent one night in Ella after finding this hotel, and the central location was great. The room was large, clean, well kept and well equipped. A great stay.

The open-air dining and new pool were lovely, and the rooms were comfortable with verandas. We could walk easily into town and to the lookouts. Breakfast was amazing, with all the extras, and service was quick and friendly. Nandana and the crew looked after us so well, exceeding every expectation.

The pool and breakfast at Alta Vista were great, and the view was lovely too. The noise from parties in downtown Ella did disturb us, though. The staff were such kind, helpful and lovely people.
