We had breakfast delivered to our balcony at a time that suited us, and the family running the place were all lovely and helpful. We stayed two nights in a spacious room with a big balcony overlooking the waterfall. It was very peaceful. The route is a little tricky, though manageable by tuktuk. We didn't want to travel it in the dark, so we walked to town for dinner and back, about 20 minutes each way. Be careful if someone on that road offers to show you the waterfall, and ask first, as they may ask for a lot of money afterward.

The hosts were helpful arranging transport, and people can take you back from the centre. Getting there means a roughly 15-minute tuk tuk ride on very steep, winding roads, which isn't ideal. We spent two days here and had a great time. The rooms are simple but have what you need, including an en suite and fridge. From our balcony we could see across the valley, watch the train go by, and spot a waterfall. Breakfast was superb, and the hosts were very flexible about timing. A brilliant place to stay in Ella.

Getting there on the difficult, demanding road is easier by tuk-tuk than by a regular car. Once we arrived, though, the balcony view more than made up for it. The accommodation was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the hosts were lovely and easy to talk to. The owner gave us a lift to the city in his tuk-tuk a couple of times, and his wife kindly did our laundry. We really appreciated both. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and we had a wonderful stay.

We had our own Tuk Tuk and found the drive manageable. The place is a little out of the way, but we liked walking to the restaurants each day, and it's a good starting point for the Ella Rock hike. We spent hours on the balcony daily, taking in the breathtaking, unique view. It's peaceful, the family are incredibly kind, and we felt at home with everything we needed. Thanks again for the wonderful hospitality!

It's a lovely homestay just outside town, with clean, comfortable rooms and a kind, friendly host family. Breakfast was lovely too. Having your own transport would be ideal. And the cat makes it even better!
