The service is the main reason I'd come back. The staff were very responsive, brought me tea and water when I was sick, tried to fix the DVD player, and made a generous breakfast while accommodating my requests. My room was big, with a lovely little patio facing the mountains where I could have breakfast. A few things in the room were broken, including the DVD player. The walk to Ella's main drag took me about 25 minutes, longer than advertised, and it's all uphill on the way back. On the upside, it's closer to the Ella Rock trail and peaceful, away from Ella's bubbly noise.

Breakfast was fresh and homemade each morning, served with a smile. Dileepa was so kind and went above and beyond, and even suggested a fantastic TikTok driver who took us to some great hidden spots around Ella, including an empty waterfall that felt like our own private paradise. The home is tucked away in the jungle, surrounded by nature, and we even saw monkeys from our room. Our Airbnb was spotless, beautifully decorated, and cozy. This stay made our trip unforgettable.

The sunset views are incredible, with a real jungle feel, and there's a nice restaurant and even a cooking class right next door. My room was simple but had everything I needed, and both it and the bathroom were very clean. The internet was fast, and the area felt safe. Dileepa is extremely kind, humble, and attentive. From the wonderful breakfasts I'll miss, to checking whether you need anything, giving recommendations, organizing things, and sharing a map of Ella and things to do, he helped me so much. I could sing his praises forever. He made me feel at home, starting with the railway station pickup, which was so convenient when heavy rain began as we arrived, and showing me to my room. I truly loved staying here. I wish I could take this place everywhere I go in Sri Lanka. Thanks for everything, Dileepa. I'll definitely stay again when I return to Ella.

We loved our time at Solitary Resort in Ella. Dileepa and his family gave us tea when we arrived and did lots of other little favors that made us feel comfortable. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. They clearly love what they do, judging by all the care and attention they put into it. A really lovely place to stay.
