We had to leave early for the train, and they packed us tasty sandwiches and water for the ride. The WiFi and data were a little unreliable, which made sense given how secluded and high up in the mountains the property is. It’s a beautiful colonial place with eight rooms, lovely views, and a peaceful atmosphere, though it is far from town. Chandra Bose, the caretaker, and the rest of the staff took great care of us. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the food was delicious, and Chandra Bose even arranged a relaxing 30-minute head massage at the spa. A lovely spot for some quiet time close to nature.

The property had a wonderful jungle feel, and you could really hear the sounds of nature. We had great views, and the staff made a real effort to look after our group of 15, including the kids. The rooms were quite small and farther from town than the other hotels we stayed at in Sri Lanka, and the food menu was limited, but the hospitality was great.

It’s a bit outside Ella’s main town, but a good place to stay and unwind. You can enjoy spectacular views of nature right from your room.

We were a little unsure after seeing the unflattering photos, but the stay turned out to be a wonderful surprise. The mountain views are magnificent and the staff were perfect. We had a delicious, generous meal, then a Sri Lankan breakfast as the sun came up. That sunrise breakfast is one of our favorite memories from the trip. Thank you for everything, we highly recommend it. Just keep in mind that Ella is about 30 minutes away.
