The service really stood out. The staff listened, understood what we needed, and took care of everything. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were cozy with a lovely calm atmosphere. It's close to all the scenic spots, too. If you're coming to Galle, this is the place!

This was the only bad stay among the seven hotels we visited in Sri Lanka. We were travelling with our two-year-old, and the cot had no mattress. When we asked for spare pillows, none were available, so my husband and I had to sleep without any that night. Breakfast the next morning was served to all three of us, toddler included, with loads of red ants crawling in the bowl and yoghurt. The pool also couldn't be used, and nobody warned us before we arrived. We've tried contacting the hotel since then to sort things out, but they've been incredibly unhelpful and don't seem to care. There are many beautiful places to stay in Galle, and I'm sure plenty would make for a much more enjoyable visit. Take your hard-earned money elsewhere.

The breakfast was a real treat: fresh fruit, bread and spreads, yoghurt, watermelon juice, and a choice of mains. We had the pancakes and Sri Lankan omelette, both 10/10. The food was exceptional, and the hotel is very well priced for what it offers. Rooms are spacious and spotless, with modern touches that still leave the place feeling authentically Sri Lankan. The whole property balances elegance and color with a welcoming feel, and the friendly team goes out of their way to make your stay memorable. Getting to Galle Centre was easy with the complimentary shuttle. Stylish and comfortable, with plenty of heart. We can't wait to come back!

The pool didn't seem usable, and the hotel sits off on a lonely, isolated road. We also felt uneasy about security because the balcony doors had no locks. There's no formal reception or room service, and the young boys who usually run things aren't available around the clock, so you may be on your own if something goes wrong. The rooms were decent and breakfast was good, making this an average stay overall. They should address the staffing and security concerns.
