The vegetarian breakfast was amazing, and staff were friendly and attentive. Our room and bathroom were clean, and well sealed against the frog noises outside. The peaceful spot overlooks green paddy fields and is 8km from Anuradhapura central.

Set in a village in Anuradhapura, Athyantha Resort has a beautiful panoramic view of the paddy fields. There are only a limited number of rooms, but they're clean and have good amenities. The staff were friendly and provided good service. Prices are reasonable.

You can often see beautiful peacocks around the property, which sits by lush paddy fields. The road all the way there is well maintained, parking is plentiful, and it's a 5-10 minute drive to Anuradhapura Sacred City. They also provide a good breakfast.

On the night of 17th October, a new employee gave us the best service I've had since I began staying at Athyantha. Our room was cleaner, the a/c worked, and there was hot water. I arrived early for an event and the room wasn't ready, but they offered another room so I could use the bathroom. In the morning, the cooking utensils were clean and ready for preparing offerings to Ruwanveli maha Seya, and he was available at 4.00am to help us.
