Misty Mountain Villas

The view from Misty Mountain Villa was something I’ve never seen elsewhere in Nuwara Eliya. The mist sat below us and it felt like we were up in the sky. We stayed two nights, and the rooms were very clean, with warm water in the bathrooms. The hosts helped make us comfortable, and the staff were so helpful and supportive when we celebrated my son’s birthday. They treated us like family, and we all enjoyed the celebration with that amazing view. We had a very good stay, and I hope the team gets more recognition while keeping the same cleanliness and housekeeping. Thanks for your hospitality.

The place is quiet and relaxing, with beautiful views and both indoor and outdoor seating. Our villa room was clean and comfortable for a family, and the host upgraded us because we had our baby. It was thoughtful of them to consider what guests need. The host was helpful, knowledgeable, and clearly knows how to make customers happy. There are several room options, and I’d recommend it for the value. One idea: a mini kitchen in the TV lounge would help families heat things up or make coffee. I’m very thankful to the host and wish him well with his work.

We didn’t feel safe or comfortable here, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Some drunk men came inside and disturbed us, making an already unpleasant atmosphere worse. There was no cold water, and when we raised the issue, the owner argued with us. He had been drinking and acted rudely and aggressively, shouting at us and blaming us for asking for basic facilities instead of fixing the problem. The hotel showed little respect for customers, especially families and women. Poor management and an irresponsible owner left me very disappointed.

The staff were really nice, and we even had a good chat with one of them. We got a price that worked for us, and the place was beautiful. I went to Misty Mountain Villas and enjoyed it more than I expected. It’s a really good place 👍.
