Elaya Resort Unawatuna

A beautiful, amazing property with great food, excellent facilities, and lovely rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a relaxing stay, and I’d certainly recommend this hotel. Definitely above five stars.

I loved this hotel and would come back. The staff were very friendly, answered my questions, and helped whenever I needed it. For my birthday, they made me a cake, helped me buy flowers, and added lots of other thoughtful touches. Everything in the hotel is new, the interiors are beautiful, and it was cleaned every day, which I don’t often see in Asian countries. There are three beautiful swimming pools. The only drawback was the walk from the beach to the hotel, though there are shuttles.

The views were amazing, and the facilities were great. The hotel had only opened a few days earlier, but we had such a pleasant stay. Gayani, the front desk manager, was kind, courteous, and very accommodating. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the chef deserves our compliments: our meals were healthy and delicious. Thanks to everyone for making our stay memorable.

The hotel had three swimming pools, a roomy lounge area, and a restaurant with natural decor. The food was pleasant, though the selection could be better. There was still construction underway, but it didn’t affect our stay, and it was interesting to see the different parts coming together. It’ll be exciting to see everything finished. We booked two rooms for three nights and were among the first guests at this premium hotel. Mirza, the hotel manager, Gayani, and the rest of the team were attentive and helped with everything we needed. They even put on a traditional Sri Lankan dance show. Our modern, sleek rooms were comfortable, with large balconies and open-window bathrooms as shown in the photos. Turndown service was frequent, so it was always nice to return to a fresh room. From our arrival at Elaya Resort Unawatuna to the end of our stay, the hospitality was wonderful. We’ll definitely stay again.
