The place is simple, but it has everything you need. The host is kind and caring, and lives right next door. It’s especially handy if you’re working or doing an internship at the national hospital. Galle town is about a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride away.

We only spent a couple of days here, mostly out during the day, so I can’t say much about the accommodation beyond the basics. The room was clean and simple, and it suited our need to stay near the hospital. AC costs extra. WiFi was slow because most of the data had been used up by the end of the month. Shirley offered to top it up if we asked, but it didn’t matter much to us. Breakfast is available, and Shirley tried to help whenever we needed something.

Shirley and the hosts were always ready with advice or help when we asked. They even picked us up from the railway station, cooked us tasty meals, and did our laundry. We had a great stay at Shirley's homestay, and found them very courteous and helpful.

The meals and laundry were a huge help during my two weeks at Shirley’s homestay, and the couple kept checking in on me with so much care. I was handling a last-minute stay on my own and felt overwhelmed at first, but their warm welcome made everything much easier and it soon felt like home. It’s also very close to THK. I’d happily recommend staying here.

It was so calm and quiet, with no dust at all. A really nice place, and everyone was hospitable. I felt at home there. Thank you very much, Mr.Shirley.
