The Postcard Galle

Those gluten-free ragi pancakes and the mutton cutlets with potato curry were a real highlight. Breakfast was superb, and the dinner and breakfast menus had plenty to enjoy. We also loved how easy it was to have breakfast whenever we woke up, and there were pre-dawn options when we needed them. My husband and I came to Postcard Galle for our honeymoon, and it exceeded what we’d hoped for. The rooms were huge, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and very clean. We felt at home throughout, and checking out was surprisingly sad. The staff, including Randike (the resident mixologist!), Kevin, Sandharuwan, Chef Sandeep, and many others, were warm and welcoming. Shivani’s hospitality was wonderful. The little touches made a difference too, like a postcard left in the room after cleaning and the jacuzzi being set up after our massage. They arranged a massage for us that was honestly the best either of us has ever had. When we arrived, resort manager Shivani and the staff were waiting at the gate after asking for our arrival time. We’d ordered dinner ahead, so it was ready for us, and they welcomed us with a delicious tamarind-based drink. I can’t remember its name, but it was amazing. We’ll definitely return to Postcard Galle on our next Sri Lanka trip for the atmosphere, views, comfort, staff, massage, and those pancakes and cutlets.
