The only good parts were the gentle, friendly dog and the considerate lady at the property. Everything else was a dirt hole, and I absolutely do not recommend it. We arrived late in the evening and couldn’t change places that night, so it was a nightmare. We moved somewhere else early the next morning. The place has potential, but poor maintenance has ruined it. At first glance, the pool wasn’t clean. Our room had barely been swept, with layers of cobwebs and dust under and behind the bed, plus the unpleasant sight of a used condom packet. The pantry cupboards had more layers of dust and cobwebs, with large dead spiders inside. The exhaust fan was so rarely used or cleaned that it had some kind of nest in it. The shower drain was blocked, so we ended up showering in pooled used water. The owners need to take maintenance seriously and clean the place.

Luckily, we found another hotel, and that made the rest of our stay much better. Based on what happened, I can’t recommend this property and will never visit it again. We’d paid in advance to secure our rooms, but when we arrived, we were told one of the rooms we’d reserved had been given to another guest because they showed pictures matching that room. The manager then spoke to us in an unacceptable way. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he bluntly said we were only allowed to sleep in the rooms and threatened to kick our whole group out at any hour if we did anything else. We understand that guests should be respectful, but his delivery and unreasonable demands were completely contrary to what you expect in hospitality. A hotel should make guests feel welcome and comfortable, not treat them like potential problems from the start. Management’s dismissive attitude and lack of customer service badly diminished what should have been an enjoyable stay.

For the price, the room was comfortable and good value. The dog was consistently annoying, and the swimming pool wasn’t clean, which took away from the experience. Still, it was a decent stay for what it cost.

I didn’t stay, so my score isn’t a reflection of the property itself. I’m sure it’s nice, but guests have to climb three flights of stairs to reach the rooms, and that isn’t mentioned in any review. Elderly people, families with small kids, or anyone with a heart condition should know about this. The young man who showed us in also didn’t have a pleasant manner. Maybe he was tired from climbing those stairs.
