We booked the treehouse overlooking the river, and it was beautiful: two balconies, a double and a single bed, and a large bathroom with an excellent shower. The other rooms looked lovely too. The hotel is spotless, right on the river, and within easy reach of town. Service was excellent, and nothing seemed like a bother. Breakfast came with fruit, eggs cooked to your choice, pancakes, toast, juice, tea, or coffee. There was also a wide menu, including English or Sri Lankan breakfasts for an extra cost. The food was good. The hotel arranged a full-day safari with Chinthaka as our guide. We'd read negative accounts about Yala, including concerns about too many jeeps and the ethics around wildlife. We had a fantastic day. Jeeps did arrive when animals were spotted, but the animals were treated respectfully. Chinthaka knew a lot and clearly cared about nature. He used signs in nature to locate a leopard, as people familiar with wildlife do. We saw two leopards, plus countless birds, buffalo, elephants, reptiles, and mongoose. Yala was easily the best of the three national parks we visited. A great base for Yala or Tissamarahama.

The pool was a lovely place to unwind after busy days, and it was clean and well looked after. The property itself was kept to a high standard, and our room was spotless, even behind the bed. The AC worked very well and kept us comfortable whatever the weather. Every meal was fresh, delicious, varied, and high quality. Best of all, the staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way for us. We had a smooth, enjoyable stay, left feeling refreshed, and would definitely return. Book it!

After our Yala safari, we were glad to have such a comfortable place to relax. The room was huge, tidy, and very comfortable, and the garden and pool were beautiful, with greenery all around the well-kept water. The whole property had recently been renovated and felt fresh, modern, and carefully maintained. It was sparkling clean from the lobby through to the rooms. The restaurant had plenty to choose from, whether you wanted local food or something more familiar. The staff were warm and friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout. Highly recommended for a chance to recharge after exploring Yala.

The safari organized by the hotel was unforgettable. We saw a Sri Lankan leopard, and our driver, Channa, was friendly, experienced, and a lovely person to spend the trip with. We stayed two nights, and everything was smoothly arranged. Every meal was delicious and better than expected, and the cocktails were a great addition. Our triple room was spacious, fresh, and very comfortable, with a massive, spotless bathroom. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming and treated us like family. Those three days gave us memories we'll treasure. We hope to visit again and highly recommend the hotel.

Our room was exceptionally clean, with modern finishes and great air conditioning. The shower deserves a special mention, it was very good. The grounds were well kept, and the pool was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was delicious too. Staff were kind and attentive from the moment we arrived, and we especially appreciated them carrying our luggage up and down the stairs. This was a fantastic base for our Yala safari, and I'd highly recommend it. You definitely won't regret booking.
