Awinco Rest Inn

The owner and staff were so friendly and welcoming, with outstanding service. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, and the location made it easy to get to town. There’s a comfortable seating area too, plus a balcony where we could enjoy the lovely scenery.

It was easy to get to nearby sights from Awinco Restaurant, including Lipton’s Seat, Nine Arches Bridge, Adisham Bungalow, and Bambarakanda Falls. We had a lovely last weekend there. The place was neat and clean, the hospitality was super friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. We were very happy with the experience and highly recommend it. 😊

Watching trains pass through the lush tea plantations from the room was lovely, and the sunrise and sunset views were breathtaking. Mr. Gamini, the owner, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Awinco Rest Inn in Haputale is cozy and lovely, with clean, safe rooms at a reasonable price. A great choice for visiting Haputale.

We stayed at Awinko Haputale. At first, the owner, Priyantha, seemed polite and helpful, but things became uncomfortable at checkout. We had asked for a couple of teacups to make our own tea, used one, and left our belongings in the room while we went sightseeing. The next day, a lady said one cup had been thrown from our balcony and broken in the garden. We absolutely hadn’t done that. We paid for it to avoid an argument, but the whole situation felt dishonest. It also left us wondering whether someone had entered the room while we were out, which felt very unprofessional. We had planned to return, but after this experience we wouldn’t recommend the place.
