Il Villino haputale

I'm so glad we stayed here. The host was extremely nice and gave us good tips about things to do. Our one bedroom had a double bed and a single, which worked well for three of us. The view is incredible, and the breakfast was good and filling. You pay extra for it, but the price is great. We were really happy with our stay ❤️

We had a quiet night's sleep here, even though the guesthouse is very close to Haputale's main road, because it's set away from the road. The view is absolutely stunning. Naleef is easy to reach, incredibly helpful, and seems to find an answer or solution in seconds. His wife's cooking is a lovely change from the usual, and they carefully respected my request for gluten free food. They also have filtered water, so there's no need to buy water. A wonderful experience!

The owner was friendly and attentive, and very helpful with trips. They arranged a tuk tuk for us to Liptons seat, though the driver seemed a bit of a scammer in the end. The place is nice and close to Haputale town. The rooms are basic and don't really look like the crisp, new photos. I've stayed somewhere much nicer for this price, though I guess some of the cost is for the view. Mist meant we couldn't see it, but it would be beautiful. There are quite a few steps down from the top to the rooms. The shower was cold, and you hear a lot of household noise in this homestay, so bring earplugs.

We really enjoyed sitting on our private balcony and looking out at the beautiful landscape. It was a lovely stay in Haputale, with comfortable, fairly clean rooms and a sweet design, and the host was friendly and helpful with our trip. The rooms could use fresh paint, but the balcony and view more than made up for it, especially at such a reasonable rate. We'd recommend staying here.
