The food was to die for, and Chabath and his team catered to every wish. The pool fits beautifully into the landscape, and we swam while monkeys played in the trees overhead. Heenatigala Walawwa is a wonderful place to stay. The building has soaring ceilings and decorative sculptures, while the fabulous rooms have huge bathrooms that blend old and new so well. I can't recommend it highly enough. I'd give it six stars if I could.

With only four rooms, Heenatigala Walawwa felt intimate and peaceful, a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle. The huge swimming pool was a great place to cool off and spend a lazy afternoon, and everything was impeccably clean, from the rooms to the common areas. The manager, Chamath, was the real star: helpful, smiling and ready to handle our requests. His kindness made us feel special and helped make the holiday such a success. The villa itself was magical, blending the charm of an earlier era with modern comfort and luxury. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Its authentic antiques gave every corner a rich, distinctive atmosphere, almost like being guests in a private museum. We highly recommend Heenatigala Walawwa to anyone after a unique stay in Sri Lanka. It's more than a villa, it's an experience we won't forget.

The food was outstanding. The traditional Sri Lankan curries, fresh fruits and juices were easily the best we've had. The gardens were lush and full of peacocks, and we loved relaxing by the refreshing pool in the serene surroundings. Chamath, the Manager, made us feel at home with his attention to detail, infectious smile and great leadership. He and his team made sure every request was met with a smile. This beautifully restored colonial manor is a real gem, kept in impeccable condition, with historic charm and modern comfort together. Whether you want a peaceful retreat or a base for exploring the coast, this is the place. Highly recommended.

The Sri Lankan meals were the highlight for our group of 11 friends. The chef served up delicious food with authentic flavors and plenty of variety, and we looked forward to every meal. The staff were attentive, friendly and warm from the moment we arrived, always making sure we felt comfortable and cared for. The beautiful, serene property was just right for unwinding, and we were lucky to have perfect weather for our two unforgettable nights at Heenatigala Walawwa. It was an ideal holiday for laughing and spending quality time together. We're already talking about coming back. Highly recommended!
