Sri Gemunu Beach Resort

All the rooms have a sea view and balcony, and the rooms themselves are nice. The view is great. Breakfast is especially good, particularly the Sri Lanka version, and the food is nice in general. It’s right by iconic frog rock. Walk left to the turtle beach, surrounded by a coral wall, and you can sit with the turtles in their natural habitat.

Aruna, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful, and his excellent English made everything easy for us. The rest of the staff were friendly and professional as well, always attentive, flexible, and ready to help. It’s a calm hotel where you can really switch off. Our room was clean and quiet, with hardly any traffic or noise from other guests. Every room has a wonderful ocean view, and the bedroom and view more than made up for the bathroom needing renovation. The beachfront bar had a great atmosphere, with tasty drinks and light bites. Breakfast wasn’t quite to our taste, though everything was fresh. The location is fantastic, and I’d definitely recommend this as one of the best beachfront hotels in the area. 😊

Turtle Beach is just a short walk away, which was a huge bonus. My daughter absolutely loved the experience. The location is perfect, with breathtaking ocean views that make every moment feel peaceful and refreshing.

We felt genuinely welcome throughout our stay, thanks to the incredibly positive, friendly staff who were always ready to help. The service was excellent, and every detail was handled with care and professionalism. The beach is stunning, and the food was outstanding, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I’d highly recommend this place and would love to come back.
