Karawwa Luxury Villas

Mornings here come with the sound of birds all around. You can see how carefully the villas were built to fit into the natural setting, without cutting down a single tree. The grounds have lovely paths and little bridges through all the greenery. The rooms are unusually spacious for Sri Lanka, modern, spotless, and set up with everything you might need. Each one has a big balcony for sitting and taking in the surroundings. The owner is welcoming and kind, and it’s clear he puts a lot into making guests feel at home. I’d recommend staying here for comfort, quiet, and a close connection to nature.

The owner and staff bring a lot of warmth to the stay and make you feel at home. The villas have a refined but comfortable feel, with soft beds, elegant bathrooms, and thoughtful design. From the upper rooms you can see the river, and all around the buildings there’s greenery and birdsong. Nature and luxury seem to fit together easily here.

A lovely place to get away and unwind among nature. Karawwa Luxury Villa is close to the lake, with a great view and a peaceful feel. The villa is beautifully designed, well cared for, and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

The setting makes it easy to feel connected to the local wildlife, and Roshitha and his family have created a great place for that kind of stay, with a focus on detox too. Even the building colours were chosen from the trees nearby. The facilities are superb: Sonos speakers, extra-large beds, quality bedding, good showers, and reclining chairs they designed themselves. For stays longer than a night there’s a fridge and cooking facilities. It’s a bit off the beaten track, so it’s worth bringing drinks or food. Sanka, a lovely tuktuk driver, lives in the house on the corner opposite the entrance.
