The room was spacious, clean, and nicely kept, with the essentials, and the bathroom was big and clean too. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s good value, within walking distance of Hikkaduwa beach and the bus station. One side is glass with curtains, so you can’t leave them open toward the corridor. The rooftop shown in the photos wasn’t in use. There’s a little pool beside reception that nobody seemed to use, and I think the rooftop would have been a better spot for it.

Our confirmed booking at Rominrich Hikkaduwa was cancelled during the New Year period, with no notice to us or Booking.com. We only found out at the last moment. On New Year’s Eve, my family had nowhere to stay, and finding another place was impossible. It caused huge stress and ruined our holiday. That was completely unacceptable and showed a total lack of professionalism. Strongly not recommended.

The staff were so kind and helpful while we were there, and the service was good. It was worth more than the money we paid.

We were a group of 11, with 2 kids, and ended up spending the whole night trying to find somewhere to stay. He cancelled our non refundable booking at the very last minute without telling us, then was rude when we confronted him. Very unprofessional.
