The peaceful, leafy setting made this feel like a break from the busy world. There was greenery, fresh air, birdsong in the morning, and a cool breeze through the pathways. Staff were welcoming from the start, handled requests with care, and stayed friendly and helpful throughout. I found my room spotless, cozy, and nicely arranged, with charming décor that made it feel like my own space. The food was another highlight: every meal, from breakfast to dinner, was fresh, delicious, and full of authentic flavor. I came away very happy with the comfort, nature, service, and meals, and would gladly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful stay. I’m already looking forward to returning.

The food was really good, and the lake view gives this little boutique hotel a calm, homey feel. Mr. Trevor and the team are so kind and will gladly sort out a tuk-tuk or car ride. Just keep in mind it's about 10 minutes through the jungle, and PickMe doesn't work there, though the staff can arrange a pick-up easily. I only missed having a mini fridge.

The rooms were spotless and well cared for, and the pool was lovely. Staff were attentive and friendly when serving us, and the food was absolutely delicious. A peaceful, relaxing place to get away.

We spent two days at Villa Birdlake Hikkaduwa and had a great time. The river breeze and scenic setting made the villa feel comfortable, and the atmosphere was lovely. Mr.Perera was friendly, cooperative, and welcoming, while the disciplined, well-trained staff were always helpful. The menu was balanced and the food was tasty. It was an unmatched experience, and we'd happily visit again. We'd recommend it to locals and foreigners alike. Thanks to the Villa Birdlake team!

The garden and pool were nicely kept, and the morning view from our clean, tidy room was really relaxing. The food was delicious, and the friendly staff were very accommodating with our 7-month-old. We did wish there had been a baby cot, though we're sure the owners will consider one in future. You can tell the owners care about the place, and our stay was very pleasant 😊
