Villa Dineha

We were already talking about coming back to Sri Lanka before we left. This has become our favourite stay here so far, and we’ll recommend it to everyone. The villa is tucked away, but it’s only a five-minute walk to the main road, with restaurants, markets and an ATM nearby. The pool is big, deep, clean and just right. Our room was modern and spacious, with a comfortable bed, a large balcony and nice views. The shower had good pressure and warm water, and there was a mosquito net over the bed. The air conditioning worked well without much noise, and there’s a fan too. Breakfast was filling, healthy and tasty. The women who made lunch were so sweet, and all the staff and the host were wonderful. We really appreciated how much care they put into cleaning, breakfast and looking after guests. The villa also does laundry, washed and dried well for a fair price. Thank you for everything, and lots of love from Croatia ❤️

We planned on staying for two nights, then stretched it to seven. The owner was so warm and friendly, and we enjoyed our conversations with him. The quiet setting and clean pool were lovely. There’s a great view from the top terrace, where we could do yoga. Main Street, the beach and restaurants are all about a five-minute walk away. Breakfast was tasty and generous, though a bit more variety would have been nice.

It felt like being at home, with wonderful hosts and a lovely atmosphere. The apartment had everything we needed for a great holiday. We’d be happy to come back!

That pool was exactly the break I needed from the beach heat. The staff were welcoming and friendly, so it felt homey even in the middle of the jungle. A great choice if you're visiting Hikkaduwa.
