Villa Lanka Relax

Sanjeeva was friendly and helpful, as were the staff who supported him. The property is in a peaceful neighbourhood, with four villas sharing beautiful, well-kept gardens full of mature tropical plants. My small villa suited me as a solo traveller, though it would also work for a couple. It was clean and adequately furnished, with a well-equipped kitchenette, including pots, pans, utensils, and a fridge. Raja, the housekeeper and groundsman, comes daily to tend the garden and clean the pool. He can also clean the villa and change the bedding when asked. The garden attracts lots of wildlife, including regular peacock, mongoose, and kingfisher visits. Purple-faced Langurs move through the trees above and around the property, but leave people on the ground alone. The pool is about 10m x 4m, and its setting may be the prettiest I’ve seen. Narigama beach is a ten-minute walk, with restaurants and bars along the shore. There’s also a washing machine at no extra charge in a shared covered washing and drying area beneath one of the larger villas. WiFi was included and worked throughout the property. Hikkaduwa town is some distance away. With transport, it’s a ten-minute trip by moped, tuk tuk, or car. Walking takes about 30 minutes.

Beautifully made, spotless, and very reasonably priced. I spent a month travelling around Sri Lanka, and this was the best place I stayed. I loved everything about it.

The house and room have a really beautiful garden.

The villas are nice, the staff are nice, and the place is new. There’s a good long pool too. A nice spot for a holiday.
