Bungalow By The Beach

We stayed one night with the kids, and the place felt safe for them to wander around. The staff were attentive and ready to help, and the bungalow was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The beach was well kept, with beautiful coastal views. Since it was Poya day, the full moon made the calm setting feel extra special. We really enjoyed our stay in Kalametiya and would love to come back.

The team made our two nights at Bungalow by the Beach Tangalle feel personal and well looked after. Mahesh warmly coordinated everything, Chef Anil made delicious meals, especially the local rice and curry, and Pasindu was just as courteous and helpful. Their kindness really stood out. The beach setting was beautiful, quiet, and right at the doorstep, with an open ocean view. The bungalow was clean and tidy too. A few things could be improved: there was sometimes an odor in the clean bathrooms, and better ventilation or air fresheners would help. Mosquitoes came out in the evenings, so plug-in repellents in the rooms would be useful. Wi-Fi and mobile data were extremely weak, with almost no Dialog signal, which could be difficult for guests needing to work. Even with those issues, we had a relaxing stay and would recommend the place for its natural beauty and warm hospitality. A few facility upgrades could make it even better.

We really enjoyed talking with Pasindu. The hosts were friendly, attentive, and lovely people. From bed we could see the ocean, and the room and bathroom were beautifully designed and spotless. Breakfast was delicious, and we had dinner there both nights, which was just as good. A wonderful two-night stay, thank you!

We stayed on 31st January and found it a great place to unwind. The host was thoughtful and kind, and made us feel comfortable the whole time. Our room was spotless, and the pool was clean and well maintained. The food was delicious too. Highly recommended.
