Ocean's Edge - an Elite Haven

The villa was spotless, and we spent plenty of time in the garden and the pool, which was cleaned every morning and kept at a perfect temperature. The garden leads straight to a lovely, seemingly untouched beach. The sea is rough, though. We had a great time in it, but it may not suit smaller children. We also saw monkeys, dogs, birds, and even a family of monitor lizards. Our group of eight stayed at Villa Ocean's Edge for a week in April 2025. The remote, very quiet location was exactly what we were after. The host sent all the information in advance and answered questions right away. The villa manager and the whole team, including the chef, were the best personal staff we’ve ever had. They handled shopping, transport, and massages, and took care of the surroundings and service with real attention. They brought coffee in the morning with fresh flowers, and looked after us until bedtime, whatever time that was. The chef was incredible, serving a big range of local and international dishes. Everything from lobster to homemade carrot cake was fresh, aromatic, and cooked perfectly. The kind, warm-hearted staff even decorated the villa beautifully for my husband’s birthday. We can’t wait to return.

The beach is amazing, with miles of sand, crashing waves, and beautiful sunsets. It’s rare to find such an unspoiled stretch of coast. The gardens are lovely, and the pool chairs and towels were laid out each day. Our bedrooms were cleaned daily, too, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time in Sri Lanka. This was our second visit to Villa Ocean's Edge, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. The whole team made sure we were comfortable. Jaya (Chef) is amazing and offered us plenty of local and international dishes to choose from. Lal and the rest of the guys helped make the most of our stay. We left feeling refreshed.

We had a lovely family stay. The staff were all committed to giving good service, and the food was amazing. It’s a great place for a relaxing getaway, and we’ll definitely visit again.

Chef's curries are fantastic, and the whole team do everything they can to look after you. It’s a fabulous villa in a unique setting, with wonderful staff. We’ll be back.
