The beach was quiet and beautiful, and the pool and gardens were just as impressive. The rooms are beautifully furnished, and the hotel itself looks stunning. We loved the fresh, delicious food, especially breakfast, and little extras like free king coconuts by the pool and afternoon tea and snacks made the stay feel even more special. Every staff member was lovely and very professional. I don't usually choose this kind of accommodation, but I'd definitely come back to Villa Thamburu and recommend it to others.

We won't forget how welcoming the staff made the atmosphere. Everyone was so kind and helpful, from the restaurant and bar team to room service, the pool staff, and the security guards. They deserve all the praise. The food was delicious too, and the chef deserves a special thank you. What a wonderful place.

Our room was spacious and lovely, with thoughtful design and plenty of storage for clothes, luggage, and toiletries. The communal sitting and dining spaces were elegantly arranged, with pretty views of the gardens and sea. On a quiet beach, this beautiful boutique hotel was a pleasure to stay in. Breakfast and dinner were consistently excellent, tasty, and nicely presented. The hotel staff were helpful and efficient throughout, with the reception and restaurant teams especially kind and caring. Highly recommended!

The food was amazing, particularly the Sri Lankan curry dishes, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Villa Thamburu is a beautiful, new property and a lovely place to unwind. We can't wait to come back!

After visiting the Dambulla/Sigiriya region on our Sri Lanka trip, we're now staying here. The service has been excellent, with real care and attention in everything, from room cleaning and arranging the many sunbeds to breakfast and dinner. The hotel is beautiful and almost hidden from the street, and it feels like a peaceful oasis. It's one of the most relaxing hotels we've stayed in, and we'd definitely consider returning.
