The pool is partly covered when it rains, so you can sit with a glass of wine and watch the rain. The rooms are well appointed too, despite what people say about their condition. Nearby there are a few surf points and some surf schools, and the hotel lets you borrow boards at no charge. The food is a big part of why I love this place. Traditional breakfast is to die for, and dinner is great, with the fresh catch of the day and plenty of dishes. I also love cooking with the cook, who’s always keen to learn something new. The staff are super friendly and available whenever you need help. There’s a small, semi-private beach right in front, sheltered from the waves, where you can watch the sunset and dip your toes in the water. Another little beach is a short walk away. This is by far my favorite getaway in Sri Lanka. As for complaints about service upcharges, every hotel will have them. If you want local prices, go somewhere cheaper.

The staff were so lovely, helpful and attentive. They even went beyond what they needed to do to arrange transport for us to our next accommodation and then to the airport. We stayed two nights and could easily have stayed longer. It’s a real gem, calm and relaxing, and hearing the waves crash on the shore was lovely. The outside photos facing the beach really don’t do it justice. Thank you.

The room was nice and faced the ocean, though it could have had better amenities. The staff were extremely nice and attentive, and they did their best to help with our requests.

Breakfast and the food in general were delicious, and we were welcomed by a competent team who were attentive and friendly. The location is fantastic. Still, the rooms lack good amenities, which I’d expect for the price. I feel the price is very high and doesn’t match the room quality.

Breakfast was 10/10 every morning, and the staff were incredibly attentive. The sea view is amazing, with surfers and sea turtles out there. There are lots of good bars and restaurants nearby, while the hotel is far enough away to stay quiet. Beautiful hotel and a great spot.
