We had a great two days at Theresa Inn last week. Mr. Joseph is a great host. It’s a very quiet place, conveniently close to all amenities, and the rooms are clean and neat. A good place to stay in Jaffna at a reasonable price.
The room smelled strongly and unpleasantly, and the washroom was extremely dirty. Staff showed us no respect, and seemed focused on collecting money instead of providing proper service. The Google Maps photos are misleading too, since they were taken when the business first opened and don’t show its current condition. This was the worst experience I’ve had at a guest property. I strongly recommend staying somewhere else if you want to avoid a terrible visit.
The rooms were very dirty and uncomfortable, and the service was extremely poor. We paid for AC, but it was ineffective and felt like ordinary air was blowing. The staff seemed more interested in collecting money than offering proper hospitality, and we felt disrespected and badly treated. I don’t recommend this place at all.
The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, and I had a wonderful stay. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the service was excellent.
It’s right next to British Council Jaffna. The service was very nice, and Mr.Joseph is a kind person who helps others.
