Yaarl Holiday Inn

The location was quite good, and the owner seemed nice, but the room was nowhere near worth what we paid. It was tiny, with two beds and a desk, and felt like being trapped in a box. The washroom was dirty and unpleasant, and a problem with the water drainage left it flooded. There was no proper mirror in the washroom or bedroom, just a small hand mirror that made getting ready difficult. The air conditioner also didn't work properly even though we were charged for it. One of the worst places we've stayed. I wouldn't recommend it to others.

Some of the rooms are in really bad condition. One room had a broken sink hanging by a cable, which seemed very dangerous, and the bathroom was cramped. The room had only a bed and cupboard, with no bin, towel, soap, or drinking water. When we asked for water, the owner said to get it from the bathroom. The place felt like a cell. I wouldn't recommend it. 🤮🤮

The area felt very dangerous, and even the owner admitted that. I really wouldn't advise anyone to stay here. Inside, the place was disgusting. It seemed like the room hadn't been cleaned in years. The bathroom was dirty, the washbasin was hanging, and the gully was cracked. There weren't any bedsheets, pillow covers, or towels, and when one of my clothes fell behind the cupboard, I saw that it looked like nobody had cleaned back there for years. There was no drinking water either. The owner wasn't friendly. In the morning he kept knocking to ask what time we were leaving. I got angry and told him to wait, but he carried on. He also had several price lists on booking.lk, but when I called, he changed the prices and said there wasn't any price list like that. 🤮🤮

The owner was really helpful and hospitable, and the place was clean and nice in a decent neighborhood. The price felt reasonable, and it's close to Jaffna's main attractions, about a five minute walk from A9 road. If you book online, they expect you to call and confirm the reservation.
