Our room was spacious and really comfortable, and the food tasted great, though the portions could've been a bit bigger. The pool was a lot of fun, and the beach just behind the resort was beautiful to look at. We stayed at Giman Free Beach Resort on the 27th of December. It was quiet and peaceful, just right for relaxing. The beach wasn't very clean while we were there because of the Ditwah storm, which was understandable. We loved the experience and had a marvelous stay.

The room needed better cleaning, and both the food and service were terrible. The beach was littered too. A deeply disappointing stay that didn't meet even basic expectations, and definitely not worth the rating shown online.

The location really is excellent, and the spacious room was comfortable, with facilities comparable to a 3-star hotel. But for the price, the experience was very disappointing. The place's beautiful setting was the one real highlight, and I'd only consider coming back if management dealt with these problems. The bathroom was spacious, but the shower pressure was very low and neither of our two rooms had hot water. One room's geyser was broken, and the other had no geyser at all. The TV also didn't work because the Dialog TV payment hadn't been made, something basic management should have handled. Dinner was a complete letdown, and breakfast was average. Around 8:00 AM we asked for more kiribath, parata, and bread, but were told everything had run out. With the high prices, the food and service standards weren't acceptable.

The room was good value for the price, with a nice sea view, and it was a cosy spot in the Passikudha area. We stayed full-board as a group of 4. Service fell short of what we expected: restaurant waiters responded and acted incorrectly because of language issues. The manager said only Tamil speakers worked there, and this caused us a few difficulties. Even so, it's a great place to spend a holiday in this area.

We stayed there last week, and it was peaceful with lovely sea views. The kids had a great time, and the service was very good. Hope we can come back with a big crowd 👌
