Kite House Cafe

The hosts are lovely and make you feel at home, and the place is peaceful and quiet. But the food is what I can't stop talking about, it's delicious. If you need somewhere to rest after kitting all day, this is the place. ✌️

We weren't in the mood for pizza when we visited Kite House Café Kappalady, and they quickly offered to make us a Sri Lankan feast instead. It was memorable from start to finish. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared, probably the best I've ever had. Everyone was lovely and made us feel welcome and cared for. If you're nearby, I can't recommend this special place enough for its food and hospitality.

We've had a few dinners and drinks at Kite House. The food is amazing and really tasty, and the place has a peaceful, friendly feel. Ranjit and the staff do everything they can to make sure you have a good time. Thanks, Ranjit, for the great time and conversations. Couldn't recommend a better place.

The trip from Colombo was well worth it. The hosts are great, the staff friendly, and the simple space is nicely designed. You can feel how much care went into making it. The food is excellent, and Kitehouse Cafe is worth a visit just for that. It's in a larger area that's considered quite sacred, and the place feels rather magical. For anyone who likes outdoor travel and experiences, this accommodation is high on my list. I'm already inspired to return, and would spend at least a few days here.
