Clock Inn Kandy

The hostel is beautiful, and I felt at home in the living room where we gathered for movie nights. My private room had a shared terrace, a very comfortable bed, and nice hot water. The staff were friendly, the location was great, and having filtered water was definitely important.

I liked it enough to come back for a second stay. It's a calm little inn in central Kandy, conveniently located and easy to find, with very friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable enough to rest after tiring travel days. The hot water and AC both worked well. There's a comfortable TV lounge for games, books, or movies, and tea and coffee are free whenever you like, as long as you wash your cups. Great value for money.

The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, the dispenser water seemed like it came from the tap, and nobody offered to clean our room during our three days there. I did like the European-style design and the relaxed common area, with lots of cafes nearby. The bed was the best I slept in in Sri Lanka, wide, white, and comfortable. I'd gladly return.

Right in the middle of the city, very close to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, and I really liked the layout. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The private rooms were far better than expected, clean, cozy, well equipped, and organized. Worth every cent.
