The Sri Lankan breakfast and lunch were wonderful, and I especially appreciated the homemade gluten-free bread, some of the best I've had. We had a dream stay at Dendrobium House in the hills outside Kandy, surrounded by nature. The guided Pekoe Trail walk and tour of the onsite farm were lovely. Service was incredible. Thanks to Sharm and the team, and to Dilshad for sharing so much insight about nature.

We chose Dendrobium House for our baby girl's first birthday, and what made the celebration unforgettable was how lovingly the staff cared for her. It gave me and my wife a chance to relax and enjoy the moment. Since we were having her birthday photoshoot on the property, the team went out of their way to help arrange things. They treated us like family, and our daughter's birthday became a memory we'll treasure forever. Manager Mr. Shyam deserves a special thank you. He guided and assisted us from booking right through checkout, with kindness, professionalism and real attention to detail. The whole team was wonderful. The setting is stunning, peaceful and surrounded by nature, with a real luxury feel. Everything felt calm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was exceptional: every dish was delicious, beautifully presented and made with care and quality ingredients. It felt like a warm luxury experience more than a hotel stay. Highly recommended for a peaceful luxury getaway, great food and caring people. We'll definitely return.

What stayed with me most was the hospitality. Everyone genuinely cared for guests and noticed the little things. On a chilly evening, staff suggested using the jacuzzi to warm up before bed. We hadn't realized it had to be heated by hand with a wood fire, which took extra effort, but they were more than happy to do it. The meals were probably the best dining experience we had in Sri Lanka. They were carefully put together, delicious, and mostly used locally grown Serendipity group ingredients, including its own coffee. The chef offered a few local and Western choices, and every bite was great. We stayed two nights at Dendrobium House, and it was easily the highlight of our 10-day Sri Lanka trip. The estate is far out, and getting to or from Kandy or Nuwara Eliya means winding mountain roads, but the place is worth it. We had the spacious, cozy Dragon Fly room upstairs, comfortable for two. The estate is beautifully designed and well kept in a lush, peaceful hill forest. There are lots of activities on and around the property: walks through the plantation, farm and greenhouse, a nearby cave, bike tours, a stage of the Pekoe Trail, and Kandy town tours. We took the plantation tour and walked the Pekoe Trail with the naturalist, and loved both. The walks were easy, and helped us learn about the estate's history, nearby villages, Kandy and its tea plantations. I'd highly recommend Dendrobium House, or another of the Serendip.ity estates, to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

This is my second time here, and it's such a lovely place. Really clean and relaxing, just right for a little getaway. We enjoyed ourselves and the food was amazing. I'd say it's the best spot for a perfect escape in Kandy. Definitely recommend.

We loved the hike with the naturalist, who made it fun for the whole family. It's a beautiful place to switch off and relax, with really friendly, helpful staff and top-notch service. The food was amazing too. Such a great getaway, highly recommend!
