Ancoombra Tea Estate Bungalow

The bungalow has plenty of room for groups, with large bedrooms and a comfortable hall. Outside, there's a cared-for garden and a big open space where children and adults can enjoy themselves. The pool is decent, and there's a play area for kids plus an indoor games room for adults with carrom, chess, a pool table, and board games. Food and service were commendable, too. The mountain setting in a quiet tea plantation is scenic and relaxing, with a cool breeze. It's about 2.5 km from Ankumbura town, and the good road makes it accessible even for salon cars. The price is a little above average for bungalows nearby, but seems fair given the facilities, space, and location. A great option for a group day out with 20-30 people or for 4-5 families staying together. Highly recommended!

The views were amazing, almost heavenly, and it was lovely being surrounded by nature. We had a wonderful time spending the day here, and the hospitality and service were great. Shout-out to Raju for the amazing food, and a big thank you to Imran Meezan for hosting us. Looking forward to coming back, inshallah. Masha allah!

The garden is beautiful, the view is great, and the facilities are good. It's an isolated, peaceful spot, and the no-liquor policy is helpful for families. The access road looks like it hasn't been repaired in ages, and the garden has no lighting at night. It gets so cold after dark, so bring a few long sleeves. We saw lots of stars that you can't see in Colombo skies.

The meals were excellent, prepared by the professional chef Raju, and Dinesh took great care of us with exceptionally good service. My family stayed at the meezan bungalow from 21st to 23rd February 2021. With acres of land that include tea estates and a golf course, it was a perfect break from the busy city. The flower garden was very well maintained, and the house felt like a bungalow from a storybook. Thanks to Mr.Akram for managing the team so well and helping make our family holiday memorable.
