Evergreen Homestay

The family were welcoming and hospitable, and you can tell they care about their guests' well-being. The room was well equipped, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious and prepared to a very high standard. The homestay is outside the bustle of Kandy, but close enough to get to easily by tuk tuk, which they can arrange for you. I'd recommend it if you're staying in Kandy.

The hosts, the food, the place, every single thing was top notch. Mr and Mrs. Sena were lovely to talk with, and I spent hours listening to stories about their time in Sri Lanka. It's a great spot if you want to get away from city noise and spend time with local people. The location gives you a view of the whole city, and the rooms were quite good. I wish I could've stayed longer.

The home-cooked dinner by Ranjini was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the conversations with my hosts. They were attentive and helped make my short time in Kandy worthwhile, arranging a tuk tuk and an itinerary to see the main sights in record timing. Evergreen is in a village on the outskirts of Kandy. My hosts greeted me so warmly when I got out of the tuk tuk, and I felt welcome right away. After the long trip from Ella, I really appreciated their kind offer of tea and cakes. I'd recommend this homestay for a fantastic experience.

Sena and Ranjini, thank you for treating us like family and giving us such helpful tips. We hope to see you again and will definitely keep in touch. You've got a place in our hearts. This was the best homestay in Kandy and the best one we had in Sri Lanka. The house was comfortable and lovely, surrounded by trees, and the hosts were simply amazing.
