Forest Face Lodge

Getting a Tuk Tuk to the property late at night or leaving early in the morning was the one small hassle. At regular hours, though, it was easy to find one. The place itself is beautiful, with nature all around, and both the property and room looked just like the photos. I first figured the pictures had been filtered, but they really were accurate. For the price I paid, it felt more than worth it, and the ambience was probably the best of all my stays in Srilanka in 2026. The host was friendly and available 24/7. If you’re around Kandy, I’d recommend giving it a visit.

We spent two nights here, and the rooms were spacious and clean, with a view over the forest and a small river. The caretaker was incredibly kind. It was so beautiful that words don’t really do it justice. 10/10 experience!

The food was fresh and tasty, and we really enjoyed it. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly, and the natural surroundings felt calm and peaceful. I’d definitely stay again.

Watching monkeys jump through the trees above the river while lying in bed in the morning was a highlight. The view is impressive, and this felt like a little paradise. The family running the business were lovely and took real care of us. It’s a great option if you want to stay outside busy central Kandy. We also recommend the cooking class. I doubt you’ll find another one that’s as clean, precise, and thoughtfully put together. Forest Face Lodge is well worth considering!
