A rest house that’s popular with foreign visitors. It’s a nice place to come with family or friends.

For 1800 LKR/night, the clean room was good value and I’d recommend it. The furnishings are quite old, with some damage, including small holes in the glass front. There were holes in the mosquito net too, so we used our own. Try negotiating the price.

The Sri Lankan breakfast was tasty and filling. The innkeeper was friendly, though he kept trying to sell us a tuk-tuk ride. The furnishings, unfortunately, are quite old and run-down.

There’s a nice terrace on the top floor overlooking the hill and lake. The place itself isn’t bad, but be cautious with the owner. He may try to overcharge you, and you have to share everything.
