That view of Peacock Hill is hard to forget. Our room had a cozy old-fashioned feel, and everything was tidy and clean. The food was delicious, with portions that felt worth the price, and Sachinthaka was one of the best hosts we've had over the years. Such a lovely, satisfying stay.
We went for the buffet lunch on 2nd March 2026 and really enjoyed the food. The staff were courteous and made us feel welcome, doing more than expected to keep us comfortable. The place was stunning, clean, and very well looked after, with a lovely atmosphere.
We stopped here on the way up to Nuwara Eliya and were glad we did. Lovely ambience, even better food. Sachinthakka was warm, efficient, and smiling the whole time.
The food was a real highlight, especially the best kottu I've ever had. The menu isn't huge, but what they make is done so well. Heritage Pussellawa is a cozy, peaceful stop along the Nuwara Eliya road, with a charming old Ceylon feel. We felt at home from arrival. GM Deva personally made sure we were comfortable, and his warmth and eye for detail meant a lot. Butler Mohan was also wonderful, friendly and attentive throughout. A memorable stay with genuine Sri Lankan hospitality.
A lovely place to pause on the Kandy - Nuwara eliya trip. It's clean, classy, and decorated simply but elegantly, with comfortable design, good tea and food, and above all, GREAT service. Young Mr Sachinthaka hosted us so well: friendly, energetic, polite, and available without crowding us. He also knew about the weather farther up the road and made sure we were comfortable. It's not noisy or crowded like so many places are now. Highly recommended.
