Hill Cottage

I slept really well on the new, comfortable bed, and mosquitoes weren't a bother for me, though there's a net if you need it. The internet was quite fast, and the most convenient kitchen is available for a small extra fee. The house feels spacious, modern, and super clean, with tasteful colonial-style furnishings and an authentic feel. Both bedrooms have an astonishing view, with the Knuckles range in the distance. There's a nice garden, and the neighborhood is especially green and quiet. It feels outside the city, away from the mess and noise, though everything is actually close. The walk into town really takes 15 minutes, and it's noticeably cooler than central Kandy. The food is delicious, and the hosts speak good English, so communication is easy. This would be ideal for a longer stay if you're lucky. The coolest place, highly recommended.

We spent two nights at Hill Cottage and felt completely at home, thanks to the lovely hosts and their warmth. The cottage also has a scenic view, and I loved every bit of the stay. Definitely coming back! Please don't settle for eating elsewhere, their in-house breakfast, lunch, and dinner are beyond compare. One of the best homestay experiences I've had, without a doubt.

We felt so welcome in your home, and really enjoyed being in touch with you. The evening spent chatting was the nicest one we've had here in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was very good, dinner was perfect, and we haven't eaten better food on our vacation. Thanks for helping us plan our day with the tuktuk. The rooms and gardens were beautiful and peaceful. My friend and I stayed with Rukshi and her mother for four weeks while we were at the university. Rukshi was a lovely host and helped us out a lot during our stay. Thank you, Rukshi ❤️❤️
