Manor House Villa

Chitra and Kumar were warm hosts, and staying in the oldest authentic room was a real privilege. We also shared a fantastic traditional Sri Lankan breakfast with them in their lovely garden, full of flowers and trees. Manor House feels like stepping into a palace, but the warmth and care in everything made us feel at home straight away. The staff paid incredible attention to detail. It's a historic house in Kandy, Sri Lanka, built in 1884 and once owned by a minister's family. Its architecture brings together British, Dutch and Sri Lankan styles. A magical place, full of history and heart.

Lahiru, the manager, deserves a big thank you. He was genuinely helpful and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. We enjoyed the peaceful feel at Manor House, liked our room, and really appreciated how clean and hygienic everything was. The food was great too.

We especially appreciated the quiet here, a peaceful break from Kandy's town centre. The service was professional and welcoming, and the accommodation, grounds and food were all wonderful. Manor House is also a historical place that gives you a glimpse of Sri Lanka's heritage. The owners have done a fantastic job preserving an important part of the country's culture and history. We had a fabulous stay and loved having this escape from our busy lives. We hope to return soon.

❌ Wouldn't recommend ❌ Staff seemed untrained ❌ Food quality was poor My visit to Manor House Kandy was very unpleasant. Staff were unprofessional and showed little basic courtesy. There were several unnecessary rules, the management seemed lacking, and both cleanliness and service were far below what I expected. I won't be returning.
