We had a lovely winter holiday in Sri Lanka, and the welcoming hosts at "Mountain View Home Holiday" made it even better. The guesthouse is colorful and new, with cozy, clean rooms and a peaceful location in Kandy. We stayed upstairs in a room with a balcony. From there, you can see the mountains to the right and the city ahead. The grounds are full of greenery and flowers, and they can pick bananas, mangoes, and coconuts for you right there. Breakfast was excellent, and the room prices are reasonable, even lower than many budget hotels. "Mountain View" is one of Kandy's top ten guesthouses, and they keep their standards high. It's a good option if you want a break from the city's bustle and traffic. It's a little outside the center, but the central square is just a few minutes by tuk-tuk, or you can walk. The owner can call one for you and help lower the cost of a round trip. Don and Sananda can also suggest sights and help organize your trip. I recommend "Mountain View Home Holiday".
