My city Hotel

The breakfast was so generous it kept us going all day, with juice, hot drinks, fresh fruit, cakes, pastries, rice dishes and toast for anyone with room left. Our room was very clean and had a comfortable bed, fan, A/C, a hot shower, toiletries, and tea and coffee facilities. The owner was friendly and upgraded us when we arrived, and our luggage was carried up to the room. It’s a leisurely 10-15 minute walk into central Kandy. We also tried the recommended Madras Restaurant, about 125 metres down the road to the left. The vegetarian kottu and devilled chicken were plentiful and cooked to order. With two colas, the meal cost LKR1,490 (£3.60 British Pounds!!!). This hotel is fantastic value, and we’d highly recommend booking it.

The ladies in our group loved the beautiful location. At My City View Hotel, the staff were excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the washrooms were spotless. We had an awesome stay and a great experience, with a yummy breakfast too.

Even with the difficult conditions during the Ditwah cyclone, we had an excellent stay. The place has its own well, so there was running water, and everything was very clean and well equipped. The family owners and staff were spot on. It also has a warm, personal atmosphere, and breakfast and service were lovely, with both traditional and western choices.

The hotel sits just off the main road, so nights were nice and quiet. Our room was big, and the shower had lovely hot water. Breakfast was exceptional, with a great mix of western and Sri Lankan food. The owner's wife is a really good cook. We loved our stay and would definitely come back if we're in Kandy again.
