The Springfields Kandy

The breakfast was simple, authentic, and delicious: string hoppers with dhal curry, chicken curry, and freshly made coconut sambal. Earlier, dinner was set up on the terrace in front of our room, and the staff member who checked us in kept helping us with whatever we needed. My fiancée and I had wanted a quiet getaway for a long time and found this hotel while searching. The start wasn't smooth, and our first impression wasn't great, but one particularly kind staff member gave us a warm welcome and clearly knew how to look after guests. We were the only couple there that night, so we got a lovely mountain-facing room with a clear view of the Nelligala Temple and the surrounding scenery. It opened onto a shared balcony connected to a common living area, but with no other guests, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with hot water and generally good facilities. The air conditioning wasn't working well enough, but we didn't let it spoil the stay. It ended up being peaceful and memorable, thanks mainly to the hospitality and beautiful location.

The setting was so serene and peaceful. We had a 15 out of 10 experience! The prices were very fair, and they even gave us free mangoes for dessert. The portions were generous, the food absolutely delicious, and the complimentary breakfast was delightful. The staff were extremely friendly, especially Mr. Russel and the helpful uncle.

The mountain views around the property were beautiful the next morning. We stayed overnight at this lovely place in Kandy with family and friends and had a wonderful time. The manager and staff were friendly and did their very best to help, making us comfortable. Our clean, tidy rooms had all the facilities we expected, and the service and standards made us happy. Lunch on arrival was tasty Sri Lankan-style food, and the chef's well-marinated BBQ meat at dinner was delicious too. It was good value for money, and I definitely hope to visit again. Highly recommend.
