Power Zone Guest House

We had a great stay at Power Zone Inn. The location worked well, close to both nature spots and city attractions, and the place had a peaceful but modern feel. Our family found the rooms clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The staff were always friendly and happy to help. A cozy, affordable option. We’d definitely come back!

It was a lovely nature break with the family. The place was clean, and the staff gave us such a warm welcome. Sembuwaththa Lake and Riverston are both a short drive away, so it’s a handy base for exploring the area. Highly recommend!

I can’t recommend this place. The rooms smelled strongly of mould and were disgusting. One bathroom had a broken ceiling, with rainwater covering the floor when we arrived. After checking the property thoroughly, we found only one room that was even somewhat clean. Also, none of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, and they’re all up two or three flights of stairs, something to consider if you’re with elderly or disabled family or friends. Save your money and stay away.

We couldn’t manage a single night and left, though we still paid 10,000 rupees. The whole place felt like a waste of money, time, and patience, and the experience was horrific and regrettable. I’d avoid it. Power Zone Inn is just a run-down house being rented out, not an inn, and it seemed like no effort had gone into making it livable. The smell hit us as soon as we arrived. Every room reeked of sewage or something equally foul, so it was hard to stay inside for more than a few minutes without gagging. Mold covered the walls and ceilings, which seemed like a serious health risk, and there was rust on the windows and pipes. The advertised amenities weren’t there, and the whole thing felt like an outright scam. It’s disgraceful for hospitality, and shocking that places like this are allowed to operate.
