The hospitality from the whole team made my stay especially memorable. Everyone was attentive, kind, and truly seemed to care about my comfort. The resort is surrounded by beautiful nature and striking views, a setting that made it easy to leave everyday stress behind. From the spa and wellness treatments to the food and yoga sessions, the experience was wonderful. The peaceful atmosphere and thoughtful design helped me recharge both physically and mentally.

We stopped for dinner after hiking around Dunhinna/kotaganga. The three-course meal was fantastic, especially the soup made with Banana Blossoms. The restaurant staff were cool and relaxed, which suited the calm atmosphere. It’s a beautiful property for taking a break from everyday noise.

Everyone was so friendly, and the three meals each day were delicious. The service was the best I’ve experienced, with staff paying attention to every detail. At night, someone even walked ahead of us with a flashlight to guide us to our room. The view is picturesque and the accommodation has a relaxing feel. I never thought I’d give anything five stars, but Santani impressed me at every level. It felt like being carried off to a majestic parallel universe.

The food and setting were the best parts. The chef and team served great meals quickly and with a smile, and the place is quiet and surrounded by greenery. But it was incredibly hot, and we hadn’t realized there was no air con. There were no block out blinds or curtains either. One night the power went out completely, so we didn’t even have a fan. We paid $1k and ended up sweaty, sleep deprived, and uncomfortable. The spa looks basic but charges like a wounded bull, more than hotels in Lake Como. The extra excursions were also exorbitant. Before arriving, we did a full day Kandy tuk tuk tour ourselves for $15, while theirs was $200 pp. Save yourself the regret and go to cinnamon instead. I’d never return or recommend it to anyone.
