The manager at Blackberry Resort made all the difference when our flight arrangements became stressful. We were due to fly from Kandy to Koggala on Cinnamon Air, but our driver pickup wasn't confirmed, and access to the military base where the seaplane leaves required driver details 24 hours ahead. Then the airline changed the baggage allowance at the last minute by more than half. We were told our luggage might have to go by road for 5-6 hours and arrive at least a day later. The manager took charge, coordinated with the airline, arranged base access approvals, resolved the luggage problem, and found a special driver to take us right to the gate. His calm persistence and professionalism meant the flight left without a hitch and our bags flew with us as planned. By boarding time, everything was sorted, and we felt relieved and grateful instead of overwhelmed. We won't forget this stay in Kandy, both for the lovely property and for the way the staff cared for us. The manager advocated for us and followed through when travel disruptions in a foreign country felt like a lot to handle. That kind of help goes well beyond what we'd expect from a hotel. Blackberry Resort is a place where the staff really have your back, and we're incredibly thankful. Highly recommend.

We booked the Honeymoon Suite for 31st January and paid Rs. 54,500, but the stay was a big disappointment for the food, service, and room amenities. The glass door wouldn't close properly, affecting privacy and comfort. There was an ant in the milk tea, the hot Milo tasted almost like plain water with only a little flavor, and the cake sent to the room wasn't fresh. The high tea was the worst part. For Rs. 6,000, we got two rolls, two triangle rolls, sandwiches, a few French fries, a small cup of cake and icing with its tag removed, a few pieces of cake that they said came from Wasana Bakers, one asmi, paniwalalu, and some sweet items I'd never seen on a high tea platter. The quality and presentation didn't feel like hotel standards, and the selection seemed like something available from a bakery for under Rs. 2,000. When we complained, the Operational Manager insisted it was worth Rs. 6,000 and said the items were bought from Wasana Bakers, P&S, or Keells Super. That response felt extremely unprofessional. If we wanted supermarket or Wasana bakery food, we could have bought it ourselves instead of booking a honeymoon suite. For anyone wanting a memorable experience, I'd suggest Mahaweli Reach, The Golden Crown Hotel, or another star-class hotel instead.

Shanth was the standout for us, friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and we really liked the food too. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place for the service and a relaxing visit.

We had a wonderful stay in the honeymoon suite. The view from the room was stunning, and the room itself was exceptionally nice, cozy, and very clean. It was well maintained, the food was delicious, and Shanth was friendly and helpful. The staff were great too.

We were the first couple to reserve this place for a honeymoon, before it had any reviews. We trusted the beautiful view and were so glad we did. The place was spotless, we were greeted with a lovely flower bouquet, and the room had been arranged beautifully for us. The food was delicious and kept us happily full. @Dilshan deserves a special mention for the wonderful hospitality. It was an unforgettable experience. 💕
