The only reason I'm giving two stars is that the older man serving our table was really nice. There were 10 of us, and none of us liked our food. It was poorly cooked and didn't taste good. The pub draws you in with European soda and alcohol options, but the only soda they had was Sprite, and the beer was local.

The manager was super nice and polite, so one star for him. We had to remind the waiter about our order after 15 minutes of waiting, with no apology. The curry tasted nothing like what we know from other Indian places, and the bullion flavor wasn't what we expected. When we moved to an outside seat, the waiter said it was reserved, but a minute later another tourist took it without any issue. Not cool.

We waited over an hour for mediocre food, even though there were only two tables in the restaurant when we arrived. Other tables that came in after us had eaten and left before we even got silverware. We ordered simple rice, chicken, and curry dishes that should've taken 15 minutes, maybe 30 if it were busy, but everything was underwhelming. The iced coffee was barely cool and had no ice. If you're a foreigner in Sri Lanka, avoid this place.

The bar had a broad choice of drinks and some tasty snacks. It's a basic, cheerful local place, and we enjoyed a beer or two. Getting in was difficult, though. Security first told us it wasn't suitable for tourists, and we had to persuade them we were okay to enter.

We were exhausted and wanted a quick meal, so our group of eight chose this place based on the menu's advertised 10-20 minute prep time. It ended up taking an hour and a half for the food, and we had time to watch a whole movie on the screens. We told management we wouldn't pay the 10% service charge because the service hadn't been good. Even after we decided to pay it for our waiter, who was a great dude, it took them another hour to let us leave. They had no respect or understanding for how awful the service was. Absolutely useless, and I wouldn't recommend it even to my enemies. Much love.
